She has practiced in her evolved speciality areas both home and abroad since 1978. She is renowned for being down to earth, fair and empathic.  Ali is happy to use her considerable advocacy skills in a wide range of family and civil matters.

Ali enjoys a diverse family law practice. She is experienced and comfortable with the most complex of matters and yet historically is equally passionate about the rights of the weakest and the most vulnerable members of society. Whether drawing on her previous Local Authority experience, acting for parents, grandparents or children through their Guardian, Ali always fights hard for her clients and to find the right solution for each case.

Her experience of practice both internationally and within the field of criminal law, means that Ali is perfectly at home dealing with matters where there are issues surrounding jurisdiction, abduction, ongoing police investigations or serious allegations of physical harm or sexual and emotional abuse, and mental capacity .

Ali represents parties in Ancillary Relief proceedings, regularly dealing with applications for maintenance and division of assets, as well as unmarried couple/cohabitee disputes, including TLATA claims.

Ali has had a diverse civil practice and will seek to extend this for both Claimants and Defendants at Fast Track and Multi-Track level. She has advised Governments, Government Departments, Companies, Banks, Universities and individuals at all levels.

Ali hopes to continue her former criminal practice.
